Apparently students in Oxford are
queuing outside estate agents in order to get highly sought after properties in Jericho. I can't work out why they're suddenly all queuing now, although I guess most hadn't given next year much thought before Christmas.
It's because the estate agent in Jericho has only just released the list of available accommodation. They do this every year, in a pretty transparent publicity stunt.

ReplyDeleteI suppose that, provided everyone knows this, first come first served is a reasonably just allocation procedure. Although maybe it'd be more efficient to have a lottery for everyone that applies this week or something...
